What are Pods?
Game Pods are the official currency of Skillpod.com and its affiliates. Game Pods are also awarded to players for winning tournaments or awarded for special events and promotions.
How does the Power-ups work?
There are many games on Skillpod currently that offer players the option to play the games with Power-ups. Games that have Power-ups have (PuP) added after the game name.
There are different Power-ups to choose from for each game and they perform different tasks. You can buy them before starting a game by using your Pods.
In the game you can then select these Power-ups to advance through difficult sections in the games.
How does Virtual Gifts work?
You would be able to send your friends on Skillpod Virtual Gifts with any message you send to them. They are available to buy with your Pods and then send on to your friends.
To send a virtual Gift you need to do the following:
1. Click on the "Friends/Messages/Gifts" button at the top of the screen
2. Click on the "Compose Message / Send Gifts" button
3. Just below the message box you can select to add a virtual gift
4. Choose from the selection of virtual gifts and click the "Add" button
5. Select a friend to send it to and click "Send"
If you have received any virtual gifts they would come with messages from friends and will show up in the "My Gifts" section. This section is shown if you click on "Friends/Messages/Gifts".
How does the Contests work?
Contests offer you the opportunity to set up mini tournaments that are open to all players. You can create your own contest for any of the games on Skillpod and determine all the variables.
To set up a contest you need to do the following:
1. Click on "Contests" at the top of the screen
2. Select "Create user contest"
3. On the following screen you can then select the game you would like the contest to be run for
4. You must then also select the amount of pods that you need to use to enter
Once the contest is set up you can go and play the game. You and any other players who wish to participate, then need to pay the entry fee and this goes into the prize pool. The contest would run for 48 hours from the time it was created. The 1st, 2nd and 3rd place scores share in the spoils.
You would be able to have a look at the different contests running by clicking on the "Contests" and then "Active user contests". You can take part in any of them if you have enough pods available to pay the entry fee.
Adding Twitter to Your Profile
To add Twitter to your profile, click on the 'My Profile' link in the Control Panel.
Once your profile has opened, click on the 'Sign in with Twitter' button.
You will be navigated to the Twitter website, where you must click on the 'Allow' button.
This will navigate you back to SkillPod's website, where you are immediately able to update your status in the space provided in your profile. Once you have typed in your status, click on the 'Update' button to update your status immediately!
Note that you have to already own an account with Twitter in order to update your Twitter status on SkillPod's website.
